Kari Holmstrom is CCI’s Regional Vice President for the Central Region, with a property portfolio of over 40 assets in 8 states. Prior to taking up her duties as Regional Vice President in February 2025, Kari worked as an Asset Manager with CCI.

Kari began her career over 20 years ago in the affordable housing industry, gaining extensive experience and a deep understanding of the complexities within the field. Throughout her career, she has built a strong reputation as the ultimate “fixer,” known for her ability to tackle challenges head-on—from resolving complex property issues to navigating difficult lease-ups. Her hands-on approach, combined with her talent for bringing teams together and implementing effective solutions, has consistently led to improved operations and long-term success.

Kari holds certifications from the National Affordable Housing Board as a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) and a Certified Section 8 Specialist, in addition to earning a degree in Business Management. Over the years, Kari has held various leadership roles, ranging from Director of Compliance to Executive Director, bringing a wealth of experience in all aspects of affordable housing operations. Before joining CCI, she served as the Vice President of Operations for MetroPlains Management, where she played a pivotal role in overseeing property performance, compliance, and operational efficiency. Her expertise spans operations, maintenance, staff development, compliance, asset management, and policy implementation, making her an invaluable asset to any organization.
