Overview
Trent Center East is a 228-unit residential community located in Trenton, NJ, specifically designed to serve elderly residents. The property is part of a larger campus that includes Trent West, which offers additional housing options for seniors. After acquiring the property in December 2014, CCI facilitated a renovation to improve the community’s quality of life, providing essential amenities such as a full-time service coordinator to support residents aging in place, as well as 22 assisted living units. The renovation was made possible through a combination of LIHTC equity, an AHP Grant, State ERG tax credits, private financing, and a 4% bond transaction.

Project Highlights
In 2016, CCI completed a $7 million renovation at Trent Center East, enhancing the property to meet the needs of its elderly residents. This project included extensive upgrades to the community’s living spaces and common areas. It also introduced new services aimed at improving residents’ ability to live independently and comfortably, such as the addition of assisted living units and a dedicated service coordinator.
